So Excited About My Upcoming Art Show!

I've living proof it's never too late to start something amazing.

I’m really excited to be exhibiting alongside my husband, artist Keith Murray, at the 5th Friday Art Walk in Pauls Valley, OK on September 30th. I’ve spent 30 years joining him as a supportive spectator, but never as a fellow artist. I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to start consistently making art. Better late than never.

I turned 50 this year, and something just seemed to click into place. I’ve read that writer P.D. James didn’t start writing until her 40s, and she was writing until she died at 94.

Somehow we’ve bought into this idea that we can’t have vibrant and wildly creative lives into old age. I don’t buy it. It doesn’t jive with my experience.

I’m not going to go ‘softly into that good night’ if softly means dull with my candle going out. I hope no one does. We’ve all got gifts in us that the world needs … whatever they are.

Part of our creative job is figuring out how to share them.

Then hopefully, it’s Katy bar the door.

About the Author

Julie Franks Murray is an artist, writer & personal transformation coach. Over a decade ago, she succumbed to her own crucible experience where every single one of her inherited beliefs went through the white-hot fire of honest inquiry. After years of inner wrestling, she emerged reformed and now offers an unconventional, liberating, yet practical perspective on what it means to stand in personal sovereignty while bowing before the Great I AM.

Julie loves the provocative wisdom found in Creation, lively spiritual traditions, philosophy, archetypal psychology, and the catastrophic beauty of everyday life. She lives in southern Oklahoma with her husband, artist Keith Murray, two dog-daughters and one very pissy cat named Zachary. She can be found binge-watching tiny house videos, trying to get her novel out of the ditch, & losing herself in the study of the Akashics.

Soul Alchemy is the process of making the inner truth conscious.
